Description

I design packaging that’s clean, thoughtful, and quietly playful. With a strong focus on minimalism, I make use of clear type, intentional layout, and color palettes that feel modern yet warm. Each design aims to tell a story at a glance—whether it’s an elegant tea blend, a fun snack for kids, or a limited-edition collab.

CUPCAKE

Brief

To design a cupcake packaging that reflects sophistication through minimalism, targeting a more refined and modern consumer base while still evoking warmth and delight.

Moodboard

Description

For my cupcake packaging, I really wanted to capture an elegant minimalist vibe that feels both refined and approachable. That’s why I went with serif fonts—they have this timeless, classic feel, but still give off a modern edge. The light yellow background brings warmth and a soft energy, while the dark blue text creates a beautiful contrast that’s bold but not overbearing.

I played around with gradients to add subtle depth and texture without cluttering the design. I think it gives the whole package a bit more dimension, but still stays true to the minimalist concept. By ditching patterns altogether, I can keep things clean and streamlined, letting the design breathe. I wanted the focus to be on the cupcake itself, like it’s presented in this elegant, minimal frame that’s not competing for attention but complementing the product perfectly.

ICed gems biscuits

Filipino candy

Brief

This packaging project reimagines the traditional iced gem biscuit container through a deformed cube box, designed to look playful and imaginative. The concept centers on a snowy world where a lovable yeti is believed to be the magical baker behind the colorful treats, sparking storytelling and fantasy for kids during snack time.

Moodboard

Description

This packaging design brings a magical, snowy world to life, inviting children to imagine a playful yeti as the master behind their favorite iced gem biscuits. The use of blue and white establishes a frosty, wintry scene that feels both adventurous and inviting, while hints of yellow and red add warmth and energy, symbolizing the yeti’s friendly, creative spirit.

The snowy world and charming yeti aim to engage young minds, transforming snack time into a delightful story about how each iced gem is crafted in a land of snow and fun. This theme not only captures attention but also elevates the brand’s appeal by adding a sense of wonder to the experience, making it memorable for children and parents alike.

Limited edition COke: American modern artists

COCA COLA

Brief

This project aims to create a limited edition Coca-Cola can packaging series that celebrates the legacy of American modern art. The packaging will spotlight six influential modern artists by integrating their artistic styles into the design of Coca-Cola and Diet Coke cans.

Moodboard

Description

The redesign of the Diet Coke can label and secondary packaging celebrates the harmonious fusion of art, individuality, and modern culture. This limited edition series, inspired by the works of six iconic American modern artists aims to bridge the gap between timeless creativity and contemporary consumer experiences.

Each can features a distinctive Hirono figure representation of the artist, adorned with their signature style and artwork on the hoodie. This playful and youthful reinterpretation highlights their artistic legacy while adding a fresh, relatable twist for modern audiences. By combining the bold essence of Diet Coke with the vibrancy of American modern art, this redesign transforms a simple beverage into a collector's item that inspires art appreciation in everyday moments.

The primary can label retains the classic Diet Coke silver background to preserve its iconic identity, enhanced with pops of color and patterns inspired by each artist’s work. The secondary packaging complements this design by showcasing the artists’ names, their Hirono figures, and highlights of the collection, emphasizing the exclusivity and sophistication of the series.
